FhGS Donations

The Foothills Genealogical Society (FhGS) of Colorado, Inc. is the result of the dreams, planning and work of five Lakewood, Colorado women with a common interest in genealogy.  These women felt there was a need for such a club and each knew people who had expressed an interest in genealogy. In May of 1980 the five women met as a steering committee and in the ensuing weeks, plans were formulated, by-laws written, incorporation papers filed and received, sales tax license received, meeting room located, programs planned, and publicity initiated.

Today FHGS continues:

    • to promote an interest in genealogy
    • to encourage and instruct members in genealogical research
    • to locate, preserve, and index public and private genealogical records
    • to publish genealogical and historical information and
    • to assist and support any genealogical library in Colorado that is open to the public

Your donation to the Foothills Genealogical Society of Colorado provides genealogy support through research, classes, training, and publications.  Thank you for supporting Foothills Genealogical Society of Colorado, doing research since 1980.
