American women in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries left records, none of them are unique to women. But, these records can provide unique insights when looked at through a historical lens as American women’s lives changed. Learn how this lens can help reveal female ancestors.

PRESENTER BIO:

Sylvia Tracy Doolos has worked as a professional genealogist for 14 years as the owner of New Leaf Genealogy. She is President of the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England Family History Society. A past President of the International Society of British Genealogy and Family History, Sylvia has a B.A. in History with a minor in linguistics focusing on how language changes affected record keeping. She also is a genealogical volunteer at the Denver Public Library and the Carbon Valley Library.
