Join us in October as we explore the haunting beauty and historical significance of Colorado’s ghost towns. These once-booming communities scattered across the state, some now silent, offer more than just weathered buildings and faded names. They hold rich genealogical clues to the miners, merchants, pioneers, and families who helped shape Colorado’s early history. Discover how these forgotten towns might lead to new insights into your family research and uncover stories hidden in the dust of the past.
A native of Pennsylvania, Josh Robinson’s fascination with the American West and ghost towns began after reading an article in American Heritage as a child. He later studied architecture, urban planning, and architectural archaeology in Italy.
Josh is a Senior Designer at KEPHART Architects, teaches in the Denver University Enrichment Program, and serves as President of Docomomo Colorado. He is widely recognized for his advocacy of preservation and modernist architecture. In his spare time, he’s restoring a 1955 modernist home in Westminster designed by Norton Polivnick.
